A poetic, often humorous look at a zoo. Definitely will provoke kids to ask questions and learn some about the different animals that live in the zoo. ( )

In Bruno Munari's Zoo, he points out really obvious observations about the animals, such as, "Some camels are more bumpy than others." This is something that little kids say right off the bat when they go to the zoo. Children are very observant creatures. The book also provides short sentences about the animals like the squirrels store their nuts for the winter time. I like how the author uses big words like, "symmetry" and "infinite." Little kids love big words! The illustrtions were bright and beautiful. It gave me tons of inspiration and ideas for the zoo in my story book. ( )

This book is written as fiction, but it is somewhat informative. It reviews many of the animals in the zoo and describes them in some way. ( )
