Quotations have been drawn from a wide variety of sources: not only businessmen, businesswomen, and economists, but also politicians, historians, philosophers, poets, etc., where their writings touch on business and topics related to the business world. More than two thousand quotations have been selected. They are listed according to themes, which are arranged alphabetically within nine major sections. The index includes the authors of quotations and themes in one single alphabetical listing. In the course of time, quotations change, too, as can be seen from the biblical 'The meek shall inherit the earth, ' through to John Paul Getty's 'The meek shall inherit the earth, but not the mineral rights' and on to the contemporary 'The geek shall inherit the earth.
