A series of essays on both medicine and biology written for other publications and collected here. This means there is some repitition but that is really the only complaint. The essays are well-written and timely for now even though most were written about 20 years ago. A thoughtful and interesting read.

Another collection of essays from my favorite writer. Anything Lewis Thomas writes is worth reading and always yields the pleasure of reading really fine writing and creative thinking from a first-class brain. (
