This is a very good book, with good insight and evaluation. It's one of those books that actually gets better as you read towards the end. Great summary of some theological questions of the early church - which are actually the real theological questions that ought to still concern us. These are the things that matter - and the church in our own day is divided on so many other issues, having lost sight really of the real issues that we never really grapple with today, sadly. Thought I don't agree with all that is said here, and it is probably not a groundbreaking work as such - it does get 4.5 stars still because of the quality of its evaluation and condensing of issues and arguments, and is well worth a read by those not acquainted much with the early church and its theology.
