A frog helps a peach see the world, and the peach shows the frog sights he has never seen before. Summary: This book is about a frog named Blue and a peach who meet each other and became good friend. Then the frog help the peach to see the world and the peach shows the frog sights that he had never seen before. The book introduce the peach and the frog about their natural habits, giving the information in a interesting way and also describe the view of the nature from the peach and the frogs aspect to make the boring nature knowledge with more fun. Genre: 1.It is a animal fantasy since the whole story happened in an animal world created by the author. In this story, the characters like the peach, the frog and other animals and plants all could speak and act like human. The story was not real in our lives. 2. It is also a chapter book since it is written in chapters. Critiques: 1.The medium of this book are paints. The images and language are both in a soft style. 2.It shows the special fascination of the natural from the aspect of the animals. 3. Text are clear but not not easy for young readers. Some vocabulary and grammar need higher language foundation. Comments on use: 1. Not very Good for reading aloud since it is to long. 2. Good for sharing reading or read by students themselves on reading time or at home with parents. Genre:Fantasy Age appropriateness:3 - 7 years,Preschool - 2 Review:This simple story of a peach and toad is very touching.Blue, a boy toad, helped Peach from high in her tree. she tells him: ``I wish I could see what the rest of the world is like.'' Though Blue thinks it's just "all right,'' he plucks her from her branch and pushes her around in a twig toboggan. In a brief shift into rhyme, Peach exclaims over the ``beautiful colors'' she sees: ``the blue of your belly, of afternoon's sky,/ the brown of the bank, of the eider duck's eye.''. This is a well-illustrate book and I like the friendship between Blue and Peach and through the process of helping Peach, both of them gain happiness for Peach helped Blue to see the world anew and Blue helped Peach the rest of the world that she had never seen. This is a fantasy book because the story setting is not real but the plot is logical and coherent. The story is between two non-human being, the toad and a peach, and the story if full of imagination but also ended with some valuable lesson that we can learn from. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
