Third Edition. The most comprehensive manual of mushroom cultivation ever.

This has to be the best general level book about growing mushrooms. If you want to start, or already have some experience in growing them, this is a must. First it gives advice about mushroom growing in general, and then introduces most of the fungi that are grown commercially or at home.
If you are interested in growing mushrooms, I recommend this warmly. (

A very detailed work by Paul Stamets. Here there is as much practical theory and background about mushrooms as a whole before there is even anything about growing. His book published in the late 1980s, The Mushroom Cultivator, is a great resource and introduction to this book. Together they spill out tons of practical knowledge explained in detail from a reknowned and veteran'd mycologist. This is a must-read for any home cultivator. (
