Plot: This is the story of a class of students who go on a field trip to a pond to collect samples. They bring the samples back to school and use the samples for many different projects looking at the animals and living matter found in the pond samples from under microscopes. They also had a class discussion about their findings and come up with several questions for their next class regarding their findings.
Review: This is a good book for students to see how other classes are run and to see that science can be made fun. This story is made up, but it is something that could realistically happen, so it is considered to be realistic fiction. ( )
