Cute wordless picture book ( )

I give this book a 3/5. This is a wordless book that open children's minds to use their imagination and invent their own stories. The book provides pictures of a little girl's ride on a train. It starts of rather relaxing, and then she comes across people on the countryside who seem to need help (from a giant person). She gets off the train, meets the townspeople, helps them with their tasks, and then gets back on the train. My favorite part was when the town needed her help by getting the people and plane out of the tree, she succeeds and everyone is happy. She heads back home in a big city. She was surprised to see later that the townspeople have come to thank her individually! This entire book is a good way to get children to start thinking about all different scenarios. ( )

I gave this book a 5/5. I chose this rating because this book starts off with normal activities but then takes a turn and the girl on the train becomes a giant in this small world. I liked that because while going throuhg a picture walk, if the students makes an expression or says something about characters size that will show they can understand comprehension and plot. I will also ask questions to help them get there "why is she so big" " where do you think the girl traveled to?". I also like this book because even when the girl is back in her home town, the little people still comes to visit. I like this because it keeps imagination and wonderment going. This is helpful because I could ask my student to come up with a world they might want to visit. This would show me the student understood the main concept of the story. ( )

I give this book a rating of four stars out of five because the story plot is somewhat vague. The book focuses on a little girl while she is riding on a train and follows her to a new location where she helps and plays with other characters. This book speaks to the imagination of young children and encourages them to come up with their own story line. While those are both important concepts for children to work on, I with the story had a little more detail or meaning for children to relate to and learn from. ( )

I would rate this book a 3/5 stars. The book was very unclear and hard to understand what the author wanted us to think. Trainstop tells a story of a little girl riding on the train. While she is on the train she spends a lot of time looking out the window. While looking out the window the little girl comes across some people playing outside and she sees someone stuck in the tree so she decides to help them. This story shows the importance of teamwork and collaboration to help achieve a common goal of helping someone in need. At the same time it was confusing because it showed the girl getting off the train and all of the sudden she was a giant compared to all of the other characters but by the end she was regular size just like her parents.
