This is a very nice storybook that may help children overcome what some perceive as a very frightening movie. Perhaps it's the reason I never found the movie scary as a child, who knows.

There is a hardcover and softcover version, I have both and they share the same ISBN which I found unusual. I can tell it is not a case of rebinding as the softcover has larger illustrations and the hardcover has a unique map of the overworld on the inside cover. Perhaps the hardcover is a school edition or something.

This book is a tie-in to the movie of the same name. It doesn't capture the same feel of the movie, but it serves its purpose and I remember being very satisfied with it as an 8 year old. ( )
