The fox speaks strictly in dense tongue twister rhymes, while the Knox is struggling to understand the fox. Meanwhile, the fox loves wearing socks but the Knox is always giving him a hard time about it. “Socks on chicks and chicks on fox.” ( ![]() This book is a great rhyming and tongue twister book for children. Dr. Seuss is a classic poetry writer for children. The funny and crazy words match the illustrations perfectly. The illustrations are colorful and bring the words on the page to life. 00015199 My absolute favorite only because tongue twisters are so much fun! Typical Dr. Seuss fare. It wasn't one of my favourites as a kid, but I liked it more than most of the Dr Seuss books.
As we mouth his refusals, we ourselves conform: we, readers of books aloud, have pronounced exactly the tongue-tying utterance that Knox declares himself unable, or unwilling, to say.
