This book is great in this area because you can hear page by page or in sections what parts are most important and why. Determining what is most important is going to be different for each child but that's what makes it so crucial about knowing your students and picking stories that interest them so they can determine the important parts. a sign could be most important or the convertible car, possibly a specific sale, it just depends on the children. I would say this would be good for a 2nd grade classroom lesson.

This is a sweet tale about a girl and her dad working together being traveling salesman. The book features conversations not only with dad but the owner and cook of the local restaurant, a local business, and a convo with another shopkeeper. This is a nice book. The illustrations are very beautiful and real like. It also highlights a wholesome relationship btwn father and daughter. I would use this book as a read aloud as a part of the community heleprs unit or hard workers unit. Grades preK-3 ( )
