I really enjoyed this trilogy of manga about a teen (Nanaki) who is hit by a car, causing him to develop psychic powers which, in turn, also causes him to be drafted by Lock, a psychic law enforcement agency. I'm just very sad it ended so soon *sniff* In this particular volume Nanaki and his partner, the eternally youthful Ao, investigate the escape of a mental institutionalized priest who insists that a vampire is stalking the area. More of Ao's mysterious powers are touched upon as well as Nanaki's increasingly protective feelings towards his partner. Although there is a quasi resolution to this storyline it seems like so much more could be done in continuing the series. I would especially like to see further developments in Ao's quest to find his former partner. However, as the saying goes, "if wishes were horses..." This is really part of the downfall to reading manga, sometimes you never know when you're going to be left hanging. Still, all in all I thought this was a very well written and well drawn short manga series. I’m happy to have read it and will probably read it again. (a review of NANAKI volume 3, as it looks like the isbn's may be mixed up?) First off, it's the last volume and it doesn't really tie things up much more than any of the volumes before it (besides shooting in a little more information about the characters right in the end there). But taken as just another volume of Nanaki, it's a plenty good one. This time, the arc takes up the entire four chapters (the remainder of the space in this volume being taken by an extra original story called 'Divine'), and is about Nanaki and Ao investigating a possible escaped vampire along with some other police detectives. It's a littler darker and more violent than the other volumes, so of course that means much better, right? Yeah. Yeah, it does. EDIT: Worth noting that while this series has stopped it's original run in Hana to Yume for some time now, Saenagi has promised it's not over, and as of now (July 2007) there is one new chapter of Nanaki in Betsuhana. Haven't read it yet, but it looks like we may get a better ending after all.) inga recensioner | lägg till en recension

How true to life. *looks over at the piles of light novels with sexualized girls* Even so this manga was form back about a decade too.
Overall the conclusion was kinda crap, but I take it the manga ran out of popularity. Tokyopop's declined translations didn't help the story any either. ( )
