A series of short stories or essays featuring a guitar heroine. Some of the stories have real imagination and power and carry the reader along in the fantasy. Lots of good stuff about guitar playing and the author has a real feel for the rock scene.There are real guitar heroes like Hendrix and Cobain woven into the stories. Well worth a read ( )

A passionate and well structured novel that is a homage to the electric guitar. The novel tells the story of Jenny Slade, a magnificent guitarist. Nicholson shows a world of experimental music, strange situations and musicians who take things too far. As ever, Nicholson is witty and concise. He certainly knows his rock music and he shares his enthusiasm for the subject with his readers admirably. Another excellent read from Nicholson. ( )
