Mem Fox is a teacher, university lecturer and writer of children's books. She passionately believes in the power of good writing to encourage children to read. Mem Fox says that if you read 100 books to your child s/he will learn to read all by her/himself. Obviously the powrr of a loving parent is in there as well. ( )

I read part of this book a few years ago. Somehow, I never managed to finish it. I think perhaps it wasn't the right time for me to read it. I'd probably be more interested at this point in my life, as a homeschooling mom. ( )
