This book is really well written and so helpful to understanding careers in the nonprofit sector. The introduction section defines what a nonprofit is in simple terms and is very to the point. I really liked the description given on the size and job outlook of the nonprofit sector, which is on page 19. Not only are there a list of profiles helpful about learning what working in a nonprofit consist of but also the culture of nonprofit organizations is discussed. The importance of creativity and passion for your job discussed as well as biases toward formality. This book really helps you to build a foundation on a career with nonprofit organizations. The profiles are also really helpful into seeing what you need to do to land a job with a certain type of organization or at least what employers are looking for. Some interesting facts on women working in the nonprofit sector are given on page 34.
