In this book Alfie experiences many different emotions that lead him on a journey. His neighbor"s cat died and Alfie experiences death, crisis, and separation. I really enjoyed this book. My grandson enjoyed me reading it to him, even though he's 10 months old. The students can relate to this story when crisis arise.

Alfies family and Bobs wife decide to cheer him up for his birthday, which is coming up soon. They throw a surprise party where he receives lots of presents,including a tiny kitten.
