She brings the bone into the class and then they all start hearing "Give me my bone!" The students get scared and the teacher just thinks it is one of her students playing around. Finally, after all the disturbances, the teacher gets frightened and says she will give the bone back. A ghost gets the bone and leaves happily, and the teeny tiny class goes back to normal. I absolutely love how the illustrator uses everyday objects to make the classroom. The teeny tiny students use dominoes as their desks, a notebook as the board, books as tables, and there is even a stamp used as wall decor in the classroom. I thought the objects gave a fun touch to the story. The pictures are vibrant in color and immediately draw the reader's eye. This book would be fun to read to students during Halloween or when talking about ghosts. Leaving the message that that you should not take objects that are not yours, this quirky book is fun for all ages. The teeny tiny teacher written by Stephanie Calmenson and illustrated by Denis Roche is a story about a teeny tiny teacher that takes her teeny tiny students for a walk to the park. At the park, she picks up a teeny tiny bone and puts it in her pocket to keep for a science lesson. When she and the children return to the school, they keep hearing a voice call out from the closet, “Give me my bone!” The children, and eventually the teacher are frightened. Finally, the teacher stands up to the voice and gives it the bone back. The writing offers a plethora of repetition and alliteration for young children to hear as it is read aloud. While looking at the illustrations, children will enjoy picking out the everyday items that take on new uses in this teeny tiny world. This book is based off an old English tale. The teeny tiny teacher has a teeny tiny classroom with teeny tiny students. The teacher always takes attendance, sings songs with the students, and also takes the students on a walk. There is a ghost that is whispers "give me my bone!" and all the students were afraid. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
