The Best Book of Snakes (utgåvan 2003)

This book could be used in one of my lessons on ecology or evolution. Many environmental features associated with particular species of snakes are demonstrated. The author is accurate in all of her decriptions of the many of types of snakes she presents. The author has organized the information well by introducing the features that make a snake a snake, to the different types of snakes, how they eat, and how they parent. The author includes a contents page, index, and glossary. No bibliography and suggested informational resources were displayed.

Genre: This is a good example of an informational book. It has many facts about snakes in different areas, for example how snakes move, how they are born, how they eat and hunt, or they are camouflaged, and their habitats, among other things.
