This book is a book for late intermediate readers. This book was about a boy who wanted to enter a snowman contest with his father and big dog Mudge. They made a great snowman that looked like his father when he is painting a green chair. I thought that this was a great book for family and showing that you can do anything even if its something as simple and making a snowman. Long story short they got third place. I thought that this was cool that they celebrated getting third place. they thought that the first place winner deserved it.

Early reader book, good for making observations, and connections between a young readers personal life and that of Henry and Mudge and his father. ( )

This book is a good early beginner chapter book that gives students an entry into these kinds of books. It is a wonderful little adventure where the characters go on to the park to play in the snow.

This book would be good for early elementary grades. It is about Henry's adventures with his dog Mudge as they build a snowman. I would use this when students are first starting to get away from picture books.
