Romance I started reading this after I got caught up in watching the Hallmark series. It was a nice casual read but I felt like parts dragged and the ending was abrupt. Although the family dynamics and their struggles can be strong emotional struggles, they are explained flat out leaving the reader not having to dig deep to figure it out. Personally, I liked this as I didn't want a heavy read at the time. I love the characters, they were relatable and realistic, I live a few Jess's. I will probably continue the series out of curiosity at the least. Easy Beach Read! Good, well narrated. On the whole i enjoyed it and would recommend it. FROM AMAZON: It’s been years since Abby O’Brien Winters set foot in Chesapeake Shores. The Maryland town her father built has too many sad memories, and Abby has too few spare moments - thanks to her demanding Wall Street career, the crumbling of her marriage, and her energetic daughters. Then one panicked phone call from her youngest sister brings her racing back home to protect Jess’ dream of renovating the charming Inn at Eagle Point. But saving the inn from foreclosure means dealing not only with her own fractured family but also with Trace Riley, the man Abby left 10 years ago. Trace can be a roadblock to her plans...or proof that second chances happen in the most unexpected ways. I read this book as part of some reading challenges. During the summer months and sometimes even, why not, i like family dynamics and gorgeous settings. I finished this book but i was getting bored. There were too many long and drawn out passages, which made me yawn. It could have been a great book, maybe it was just a slow start to series, but for my thought, i will stick to Susan Wiggs Lake shore chronicles. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
