New York Times bestselling author Mary Kay Andrews's rollicking Christmas tale featuring the beloved characters from Savannah Blues and Savannah Breeze, now with a new cover and additional holiday recipes! 'Tis the week before Christmas, and antiques dealer Weezie Foley is in a frenzy to do up her shop right for the Savannah historical district decorating contest, which she fully intends to win. Her motif is Graceland Blue Christmas, with lots of tinsel, an aluminum tree, and enough tacky retro doodads to fill the Grand Ole Opry. But no sooner is she certain she's one-upped the trendy shop around the corner when Weezie notices things going strangely missing from her display. Despite the petty burglaries of her mysterious midnight visitor, Weezie still has high hopes for the holiday. Perhaps even an engagement ring is in the offing from her chef boyfriend, though Daniel, usually moody around the yuletide, seems even more distant than ever. Throw in some seasonal eccentricities from Weezie's decidedly odd family, a miraculous 1950s Christmas-tree pin, and a little help from the King (Elvis!) himself, and even Scrooge would have to agree there's real magic in the Savannah air this Christmas.… (mer)

Cute book. Kept your attention. Easy read. ( )

This was a cute book. As the third one in the series I kind of feel it was more about getting to know the characters a little bit better than an actual major storyline. In my opinion, none of her characters can compare to Callahan Garrity, but I think this is going to become a good series. ( )

An amusing funny tale about Weezie as she decorates her antique shop for the Christmas decorating contest. Homeless people do away with her edible fruit but she blames the gay couple across the street. She does befriend a homeless woman and remarkably, that woman turns out to be someone important to her boyfriend. ( )

Cute, short story in the Weezie series.
I read these books out of order and read Christmas Bliss first.
Weezie is well meaning but really flakey regarding some break-ins in this book. I know we're supposed to see it as a compassionate choice but I think most readers probably couldn't get behind her choices either.
Anyway, very quick read and still cute but I loved Christmas Bliss. If you're not crazy about this book don't let it deter you from reading Christmas Bliss. ( )

It’s Christmas time in Savannah, and antiques dealer Weezie (Eloise) has her hands full. She needs come up with a knockout decorating theme for her store window for a contest. She faces stiff competition from the gay couple who recently opened a shop across the square. She needs to find the perfect present for her boyfriend, Daniel, who hates Christmas. She’s hosting a family dinner on Christmas Eve. Her dog keeps running out the back gate that someone keeps leaving open. To top it all off, someone is breaking into her shop and even into her home. She’ll have the help of her best friend Bebe to overcome all of these challenges.

I was in the mood to listen to a Christmas book and this was available. It was about what I expected – a light and funny feel-good Christmas story. It has just enough mystery to appeal to many cozy mystery readers, although there are a few uses of profanities that you wouldn’t find in a typical cozy. I’m sure the narrator did her best to mimic a Savannah accent but it just didn’t sound right. I almost abandoned the audiobook because of the reader’s accent, but I finally resigned myself to it. ( )

I was just hot-gluing the last popcorn-and-cranberry strand to the second of two five-foot-high topiary Christmas trees when my best friend came breezing into Maisie's Daisy.
