Book 13 of 13 of the phenomenal series: Series of Unfortunate Events! Another of my favorites in the series. A conclusion for the ages, I feel this was a strong finish for the series.

i don't know how i feel about this book. i just finished it. i've given it three stars because that's somewhere in the middle, but that may change. i think i have to think about things a little bit, then i'll know. ( )

That's it? This is the end?
A story with no true ending.
I was hoping this book would give so many answers, it didn't, but we got even more unfortunate events. And terrible news regarding several beloved characters.
This was such a unique series and the ending was so abrupt, we never find out if they survived or perished, a word which here means, died while on the boat.
It's an end that is left up to us, I guess the Beatrice Letters give us a little closure, we know the baby survives, but we don't know the fates of the 3 Baudelaire orphans.

We are told that MAYBE the Quagmiresare alive, we get no confirmation on this stuff whatsoever.

Well, thank you for a wild ride Mr Snicket, even if this book was not the best, it means that one day, he could return to the universe and write about maybe Beatrice or something.
So in a way, it brings us hope. ( )
