A father is trying everything he can think of to get his daughter to take her nap. They dance, boogie, and bongo, yet she still refuses to take her nap.

It's Susie's nap time but she doesn't want to nap. Her dad tries many things to make her tired but in the end it only makes him tired. The dad falls asleep and Susie never takes a nap.

Susie's mom leaves Susie home with her father in charge. Susie's father does everything he can think of to get Susie to take a nap. They go on a walk, do some exercises, read stories, sing songs, drink water, lay in bed... They do all of these tiring things and Susie continues to say no nap. Her father ends up falling asleep right before her mother comes home! Great and funny for first and second graders.

This is a good book to read to children in kindergarten or first grade. One good time to read it is before nap time because it has to do with the struggles of getting a young child to go to sleep. Another good time to read this is when talking about family because it has to do with a girl spending alot of time with her dad. ( )
