Haven't read many Inhumans comics, but I watched the TV Show and have seen them pop up in other comics. It seems like an epic story with them, but the characters just don't seem to "click" for me. So it comes off as interesting, but not amazing. ( )

This is the only TPB that came of the whole Secret Invasion event that I think is really worth reading. It doesn't have so much to do with the main story-line but if you like the Inhumans (and if you read [b:The Inumans]) you'll like this one. Plus it sets up the whole War of Kings thing that's going on right now. ( )

After Black Bolt is revealed to be a Skrull infiltrator in New Avengers: Illuminati, the comics in this trade reveal what happen next for the Inhumans. Basically, Medusa wants her husband back, and she'll go to nearly any length to get him back.

I like the Inhumans, and this was an interesting arc for them. It also sets up the forthcoming "War of Kings" nicely. The art was pretty good, although the story felt a little rushed at times. Ronan the Accuser's demand was kind of out of the blue; I felt like I was missing something.

Still, I'm looking forward to reading more about the Inhumans, and I'm glad that they're finally getting some much-needed exposure in the Marvel Universe. For too long their potential has been ignored and placed on a back shelf.

This trade contains the four issues of Secret Invasion: Inhumans, as well as the B story from some Thor issues explaining how the Inhumans came to be (although if you read the story, you'll already have an idea, since there's a "history lesson" woven throughout). There's also a summary of Inhuman history in the back, and a picture gallery of many members of the Inhumans. ( )
