Ruth (Brides of the West #5) (HeartQuest) (utgåvan 2002)

Ruth is a very spunky young mail-order bride, who by accident finds herself agreeing to wed an 80-year old man. Instead of staying in town and sorting it out, she flees town and heads for the Wyoming Territory. Having begged U.S. Marshall Dylan McCall to take her safely there, and being refused, she sets out to follow him from a distance until they are far enough away from town that he won't bring her back. Dylan and Ruth will eventually find themselves depending on each other as winter sets in and they both need to find shelter. These two will deal with a lot of hardships and both will begin to see the good in the other. It was another enjoyable story in this mail-order bride series.

Can be easily read as a stand alone story, although you would begin to get to know these two main characters, if you had read book #4 first, "Glory". I find myself thoroughly enjoying each story and wanting to just keep reading until I have finished each book. This author is a really good storyteller. ( )

I really enjoyed this book set in the Old West. There is a lot of humor with this spunky heroine trying to escape an elderly suitor by following a marshall who didn't want company. Her faith is tested as she is alone in a storm with a baby she finds in burning wagon. ( )
