This book was about a bear who was really sleepy during the winter and just wanted to sleep, but his friends wanted to keep him up to get ready for Christmas. They helped him bake, find a Christmas tree, sing Christmas songs, and hang the stockings. The illutstrations for this book are amazing! They are so cute! On one page, you see Bear and rabbit stringing popcorn on the Christmas tree, and details are so precise. Not to mention the color that Jane Chapman used throughout the book to give off such a warm vibe. Overall this book was really good, but I'm not sure if you can have Christmas books in your classroom. bear and his friends are getting ready for christmas but bear should be asleep. they do all the fun holiday activities that go with christmas and finally bear ends up falling asleep when all the activities are done 1 book Bear's friends are determined to keep Bear awake for Christmas! It's a cute poem, but not the best flow if you're picky about that sort of thing (I tend to be), but the illustrations are lovely, especially with the little details like the feathers over Raven's beak, or Mole's over-sized burrowing feet.
I'm not familiar with "Bear" (the book series) but I happened to read this while standing in line at a book store and felt it would make a cute addition to my Christmas arrangements. (
