Few erotic novels these days contain no portrayals of it as highly attractive, whether practiced by straight or gay couples. The currently non-judgemental attitude to sex toys has allowed the spreading of anal activities to benefit females interested in roles that are active as well as passive. Taormino's book (ignore the traditional assumption of her first name) provides a detailed, friendly and comprehensive guide which should benefit even routine practitioners of the 'dark arts' with its breadth and copious provision of hints and tips. There may be competitors in this field, but I cannot imagine one significantly that gives a better introduction to what has always been a common and enjoyable practice. ( )
