A reference work on saints and symbols of the church. Contains illustrations and brief descriptions.

Not the best dictionary of Symbolism I own, but probably the most useful. It not only includes most of what you might see in a church or a museum, but is also small enough to take with you. And if it doesn't have all the information you need, it gives enough to make looking the rest up a lot easier. (
