It also helps teach the kids the importance pf being nice to their peers. In this book, Rainbow fish deals with a younger fish, Tug, copying his every move. Rainbow Fish is angry at this until he is paired with Tug for an assignment for school. Tug explains that he thinks Rainbow Fish has good ideasand he hopes fish look up to him someday, causing Rainbow Fish to befriend him. This book had a good lesson on dealing with someone who copies you, however, when read to three and four year olds, it had a little too much text for them. It was also a small book, and the kids had trouble seeing it. I had the children explain to me what a copycat was at the beginning of the book. During the book, I had them tell me how they would feel if they were Rainbow Fish. Then, at the end, I had them tell me examples of what a copycat was and talked about how to deal with it. In this book, rainbow fish was very frustrated because Tug, another fish, was copying every move and choice that he did. This really frustrated Rainbow fish and made him angry at Tug until Tug explained the only reason that he was acting this way was because he admired how great Rainbow fish was and wanted to be like him. This made Rainbow fish feel more understanding and he also learned that Tug had some great moves and ideas too that he would like to use, so they could both share and learn from one another. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
