Clemence Ravenhurst has to do something to stop the plots of her dastardly uncle, he is determined to control her finances, now that her father is dead, by marrying her off to his son and if they have to rape her into willingness he's willing to do just that. She escapes, dressed as a boy, and finds herself pressed onto a pirate ship where Nathan Stanier comes to her rescue, thinking she's a boy. Can Nathan overcome his issues with her wealth and his history, and help her overcome the aftermath of what's happened to her?

I really did enjoy this one and the characters involved, I look forward to reading more in this series. Clemence is a great character and you can also tell where Nathan is coming from, some of the background characters are also quite entertaining. ( )
