"Without being taught about body boundaries, a child may be too young to understand when abuse is happening--or that it's wrong. This straightforward, gentle book offers a tool parents, teachers, and counselors can use to help children feel, be, and stay safe. The rhyming story and simple, friendly illustrations provide a way to sensitively share and discuss the topic, guiding young children to understand that their private parts belong to them alone. The overriding message of My Body Belongs to Me is that if someone touches your private parts, tell your mom, your dad, your teacher, or another safe adult"--"This book offers a tool parents, teachers, and counselors can use to help children feel, be, and stay safe. I think this is an excellent book to teach children about inappropriate touching, and behavior. It is not to scary, it is too the point. I really like that it showed how the little boy handled the situation, by telling his mom and dad, but also added that his teacher is a safe place to go also.

I thought this story was educational for children that need to understand what is right and wrong in situations like these and this would be a book for children 4 and up. ( )

This is a one on one book to read to your child about what to do if someone ever touches them inappropriately in there private areas. It can also help a child who has been touched and letting them know it's not there fault. In the back of the book. The author shared resources to help parents in what to do and how to handle the situation if this ever happens.

Written by an attorney that helps children with crisis situations. This book is informative and tells a child not to feel like anything is their fault, or they did something wrong if someone isn't respectful of their body. Teaches children to tell a grown up and has basic pictures that won't cause a child to feel awkward about the subject of inappropriate touching.

In this story, it talks about a little girl who knows that her body belongs to herself. Throughout the story she gets touched uncomfortably by her uncles friend and ends up telling her parents.
