Reading Rainbow (56) Det finns inga diskussioner på LibraryThing om den här boken. 00004355 $8.64 I have mixed feelings about this book after reading it. I liked the book because the illustrations are bright, big, and have labels. One of the pages has a squirrel that takes up half the page and the squirrel as well as the maple tree seed are labeled. There is also a cutout of a leaf which adds to the illustrations. However, I didn’t like that we never see the narrator of the book. Throughout all of the illustrations, only an arm is shown. Also, I didn’t like the manner of the writing. One example is “seeds the squirrels didn’t find lay sleeping among the leaves until they were covered with snow.” I feel that the way it was written may not make sense to all readers. I think that the main idea of the story is that everything grows when taken care of and in this story it is a seed that grows into a tree. This story tells about tress, many different kinds of trees but more so, it help influence young children to plant a seed and watch for themselves how nature makes everything grow.
