( ) This book was good but not as good as the previous ones. It was really slow at first and very predictable. The relationship between Ben and Camelia was so annoying. Especially Ben. Make up your mind dude, you either want space or you don't. I think it was past midway that the book started to pick up and I was really interested in what was going to happen. I seriously love this series and the author's ability to create so much lasting suspense. The Good I really loved the suspense , like with all of the books in this series. I absolutely love the way she kept you guessing. I also liked the addition of the therapy session transcripts and the cross word puzzles. That's another love I have with this series, how with every book the author adds something from the person committing the crimes. I also loved the character development. Honestly throughout the book Camelia was just downright annoying but I loved how she realized that giving Ben space is the only way to save their relationship. I also adored how Kimmie and Wes were adding for a little bit of comic relief. The Bad The story lines have started to become a bit recycled in terms of the stalking. I mean at least this stalker was different from the other books but still. And at least this time it wasnt Camelia. But I have started the next book and I am hoping and praying that it doesnt have anything to do with a stalker. I really don't know how much more of that I can take. Overall The book was very well written. If you enjoyed the previous books in this series, you will enjoy this one. But even if you didn't enjoy the last two you may enjoy this one. Basically if you don't enjoy novels that are geared toward teenagers then you probably wouldn't enjoy this or any of this series period. This series just continues to blow my mind. In my past two reviews of the books, I talk about how it makes me really happy but it frustrates me at the same time. The same is true for Deadly Little Games. Like, really true. I have such a love/hate thing with this series, haha. I was so relieved when I started reading this book because, while I loved both of the other two books, they had really similar plots. I just didn’t want to have to read about Camelia making all of thte same mistakes again. Luckily, the storyline in Deadly Little Games is different from the other two in the series because, finally, she is not the target. It was a nice change of pace, for sure. I think I liked Camelia the most in this book as compared to the first two. She was finally getting it together and stopped making stupid choices. No, that’s not true – but she finally seemed to realize how serious these situations really are. Ben, on the other hand, drove me nuts. He was so jerky and obnoxious and blah in this book. I also really liked the further developing of Camelia’s powers. It makes for an interesting storyline and in, in my opinion, is what is really going to help keep the series interesting. I was surprised when, before reading Deadly Little Games, I found out there is going to be a fourth one (Deadly Little Voices - November 2011), but now I’m really glad. I need to find out what happens, to see if Ben makes me like him again. So yes! If you’re a fan of the other two books, definitely pick this one up. I thought it was just as enjoyable and engrossing as the first, and the storyline didn’t frustrate me as much (except for Ben).
Every time I read one of Laurie Faria's books I think, ''How many stalkers is this chick going to have?" Nonetheless, the suspension in each book of the series is better than the last and the stalker is never who you'll suspect, well sometimes. The cat&mouse romance between Camille and Ben is sweet and frustrating, but mostly sweet. Romance and suspense, always great characteristics in a book! Ingår i serienTouch Novels (3)
Before Camelia and Ben can fully grasp the powerful bond brought about by their psychometry, an unresolved family tragedy resurfaces in Camelia's life, irrevocably changing everything she cares about. Inga biblioteksbeskrivningar kunde hittas. |
