This book discovers what eleven animals eat, how much they eat, and how they eat! The pictures are colorful and large which bring drama to what these animals can devour in one big gulp! On the last page of the book, we discover that we can not see with the naked eye what microorganisms eat but that they are still important part of nature! This is an interesting book to share in a science class to learn about what certain animals eat. ( ) I read this book to my students and again to my niece and nephew. All of them really enjoyed this book. The bright colors and large illustrations caught their eyes immediately. The flip out pages was the highlight of the page turning. Each of them had many questions about the animals and was excited to guess what the next animal would be. This book is engaging and I enjoyed it. . This is a children's non-fictional text. It tells how much food different animals can eat in one bite. This is a children's non-fiction text. It deals with how much food different animals can eat in one bite. The author also gives a life size/ visual representation of actual bites taken by the animals in the book. I think this book would be great when covering a unit on animals and their habitats. Just On Bite by Lola Schaefer is about a list of animals, what they eat and the sounds that they make. The book is a big picture book as well. After the animals are introduced, they are furthermore introduced, such as the bear was told to be a black bear. It is explained how much they eat whether they are male or female. It also tells if the are omnivores, carnivores and things like that. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
A life-sized introduction to what animals eat, how they eat it, and how much they eat in a single bite, from the tiny sand-grain-sized bite of earth that the earthworm takes to the double-gatefold spread of a sperm whale sucking a whole giant squid down in just one bite.
