A cut and paste review of Queen Victoria's Jubilee Years, 1887-189, rather than an overarching account of the period - the illustrations (many reproductions of paintings and sketches) are in many ways superior, in showing the panoply of Victorian Britain at the height of its influence.

Death Comes by Amphora: A Mystery Novel of Ancient… av Roger Hudson
Just couldn't get into the story. For me there was too much about the politcal situation at the time rather than expanding on the mystery.

Bloomsbury, Fitzrovia and Soho av Roger Hudson
As with its two companion volumes, this describes a fascinating set of walks around the specified areas - and even if you have no intention of visiting the city, you'll find it well written and well illustrated. Even those who think they know London well will probably learn something from it.
