Pretty pointless.

A Paperino viene ordinato di eliminare un campo d'aviazione giapponese. Dopo essersi paracadutato da un aereo, atterra in una foresta giapponese, dove usa una canoa gonfiabile per attraversare il fiume. Dopo aver schivato gli spari dei soldati giapponesi, la canoa con su Paperino precipita giù da una cascata e si incastra in un ramo, riempiendosi d'acqua. Paperino fugge nel letto del fiume senz'acqua e si assicura che la canoa non colpisca nulla che possa bucarla, ma ben presto si buca, provocando una piena. Paperino continua a correre, finché arriva al bordo di una rupe, dove vede il campo di aviazione nemico. Dopo essersi messo in salvo per pura fortuna, Paperino assiste alla grande quantità d'acqua che colpisce il campo d'aviazione, distruggendo gli aeroplani. Paperino compie così la sua missione. Donald Duck parachutes into the jungle of a remote Pacific island to wipe out a Japanese airfield undetected.He loses most of his equipment in the process of landing and is nearly eaten by a pair of crocodiles. He uses a rubber raft to travel down the river. He is located by Japanese snipers, including one disguised as a rock and one disguised as a slant-eyed and buck-toothed tree. He initially mistakes their bullets for mosquitoes and presses onwards.

His raft is caught beneath a waterfall and starts inflating. He makes sure the raft hits nothing that would pop it. When he gets to the edge of a cliff, he sees the airfield. The raft has already exploded, causing water to turn into a waterfall. The water ends up flooding the entire airfield, destroying everything in its path including all of the aircraft. A montage of all the broken aircraft after the flood. Upon seeing the ruins of the airfield, a proud Donald declares his mission accomplished by sign a message quote: "Contacted enemy, washed out same" (fonte: wikipedia)

I really enjoyed Against Blood and can't believe how fast I finished it - I couldn't stop turning the pages! There is a large cast of characters and the story keeps you guessing at all turns. If I'm lucky to read more books by this author, the cast of characters that appeared in this novel might appear in future books - fingers crossed! The writing is excellent and even with so many characters, the author was clear and concise so that I could keep up with 'who', 'what', 'when' & 'how' amidst all the action. I found the cast of characters relevant to what we see on the news today regarding radicalism, religion, and politics, and each character in the book had their own unique signature. This is a fun, fast paced, exciting crime thriller that reads like you're watching a movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend!

As the premise says: only one good man stands between the president and the oligarchs who want him dead. It is a race against time to stop the machinery that was set in motion to kill the president elected by the people, against the efforts of the wall street elites. As Smedley Butler in the 1930s, so today only Martin Borneman can save American democracy. Can he stand up against the establishment? The answer is... :-)

The collapse of the Berlin wall, followed by the Soviet Union, were two of the most momentous events of the 20th century. We know them well from countless TV images. This novel goes behind the scenes, where we witness not death of the system, but birth of something new, and what can only be described as new oligarchy, in essence: the current day Russia. Exciting espionage story!

Wikijustice is Wikileaks with teeth, where material leaked by whistle blowers is used to get justice in the world where the 1% are untouchable. Finally the average Joe finally can be heard and felt. Of course it all goes out of hand when somebody realizes wiki justice can be a good cover for a plot unlike any other. Now it's a race to stop the madness before it drives the world into destruction.

A mole is discovered in the pentagon. The military intelligence officer sets out to find out who it is. The chase leads him to discover a devilish plot, and at the center of it are the least expected enemies: Vatican priests who are fomenting a revolution. Fine thriller evocative of the "communist" Pope Francis and his stance against capitalism.

A baby wanders into a circus.

There's a framework of a plot, and some attempts at gags, so... I guess they tried?

A Looney Tunes animator dreams he's in his own cartoon.

Cute premise, with a mild sense of whimsy. There are only two or three good gags. It's kind of like a poorly-drawn Mickey Mouse cartoon.

There's some sort of... robot Frankenstein monster? And about a half dozen characters introduced and then ignored. I don't get it.

Someone tries to cheat at a downhill ski race.

Vaguely amusing. There are gags. After watching so many early-to-mid-30's Looney Tunes lately, just the existence of gags is a very welcome change. Bonus Whimsy Points for a duck riding a dachshund on skis.
