A great book about the story of bringing boo.com to market, and the challenges that it faced, this boko offered a great amount of insight into the early years of the dotcom era and how the investment bankers, VC's, and established software companies acted in the early days.
This is an awesome book. Anybody working in the IT or New Media industry at the turn of the millennium will recognize the crazy behavior and complete stupidity of these people. I love the way they just don't get it, the way they never comprehend that building something that works is hard. Planning, talking , endless meetings, telling each other how great you are, it all counts for nothing. Brilliant stuff. All the other books I have read about the Dot Bomb never capture the spirit of the moment like this one.… (mer)
