Becoming Free Indeed: My Story of Disentangling… av Jinger Duggar Vuolo
It was ok. It feels like a trailer for a movie, just enough to intrigue you but not the entire story. I have very little religious knowledge and even less of Bill Gothard. Jinger's story has me googling him, there has to be a cult book on this somewhere.
I only saw a few episodes of the show the Duggars had as I haven't had TLC all the time. I knew they were conservative Christians, but not that they were involved in Bill Gothard's movement, for lack of a better word. I am glad she got out of it, as well as one of her sisters, and pray they all do. I saw Jinger on a show that Kirk Cameron does on TBN, so I got this book from the library, but I may have not been the target audience. I pray that those in IBLP will read this and leave it for a church that preaches the Bible.… (mer)

When I started reading this book, I thought it would be a bio and an account of life in a religious cult. It was that, but it seemed like those were subplots. The many focus of the book seemed to be on religion and her feelings about religion. I felt I was attending church and being preached too. This subject matter just wasn't for me. Those who are religious may enjoy this book, but I was so glad when I finished it.
