It was an amazing time... youth were on the road...going places on a shoestring their parents only dreamed of. The author hitchhiked around Europe....staying at youth hostels, meeting like-minded young people from all over.
We were a diverse group...coming from many different ethnic and racial backgrounds.... we numbered Vietnam vets and draft dodgers among us. We included Communists and Eisenhower Republicans. My books illustrate this often ignored aspect of the Sixties...so does Jack Engelhard's DAYS OF THE BITTER END.
Inviting all veterans of those times and people that would like to know how it really was.
