I didn't love the list format but realize that it may make this a good read for reluctant readers. Another positive is Annie's growth in her ability to speak up, ask questions and value her own and others' feelings. ( ) This book is about a girl who can remember a lot of weird stuff about people and things that have happened in her life. One day she gets in trouble in the Principles office and her family moves at the same time, however because of getting in trouble at school both her and her brother think that it is her fault they had to move. She moves from Brooklyn to a small town called Cloverville. Then throughout the rest of her lists we began to know more about Annie and her family, as well as her friends and her new life in Cloverville, she also finds out what is the real reason her family had to move towards the end of her story. This book is a 10 out of 10 on the positivity scale and a must read for people who end up reading the same books over and over again. Annie tells the story of her family's move from Brooklyn to Clover Gap in lists (supplemented by brief narrative). She believes it was her fault they had to move; this is further compounded by the observation that no one in the family seems all that thrilled to be there. Annie fears losing her best friend Millie in Brooklyn and worries about what her parents aren't telling her and brother Ted. She worries that her personality traits (being quiet, having an amazing memory, not being noticed) are disadvantages to making friends. As the months in Clover Gap pass, she meets Zora and Kate, copes with Amelia, writes emails to Millie, and occasionally has fun. By the end of the school year, the family seems to have found their place in Clover Gap. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
