But, who better to know how a woman should act than a man? Daniel SanchezArevalo does an excellent job of crawling into a woman's psyche. Alice comes off as a sympathetic character who behaves in a understandably bizarre way. After all, she just lost her husband whom she had complete trust in, never given any indication to doubt him, to find out hes been lying to her for years! My only objection so far, is that the grandparents would have acted totally different. After all, they are my age. The grandchildren of a dead beloved son would not be whisked off to an island without some serious interference from the grandparents. And one other observation...he owned a business on the edge I'd striking it big! He had expenses, payrolls, materials, overhead...etc etc et . He had to have an accountant. He could not not have receipts. But then, there would not be a book, would there? The ending was slightly uninteresting and I skipped and skimmed over the "reveal ". Didn't need to read it.
