Ingår i serienJane Tennison (9)
Can Detective Jane Tennison find the killer in a sleepy community desperate to keep its secrets buried? Detective Inspector Jane Tennison was beginning to think she’d made a big mistake. Having requested a transfer to a station nearer her home, she’s now wondering if any serious crimes are ever committed in Bromley. Especially since the first case she’s assigned to involves nothing more dramatic than an altercation between neighbours over a disputed property boundary. Jane’s new boss wants her to wrap up the enquiry as quickly as possible, but something in the apparently trivial case doesn’t add up. Against her boss’s orders, Jane decides to dig deeper, and soon uncovers a trove of dark secrets in sleepy Clarendon Court involving a tragic death and a forbidden love affair. As Tennison hunts for the missing piece of evidence that will identify a vicious killer, she knows that this case will either make her career — or break it. The series follows Jane’s early years in the force and concludes with the publication of Whole
Life Sentence to be published in the U.S. in late 2024.
Tennison - Hidden Killers - Good Friday - Murder Mile - The Dirty Dozen - Blunt Force - Unholy Murder - Dark Rooms - Taste of Blood and 2024’s Whole Life Sentence - the entire series. Not to be missed.
I love Ms. La Plante’s work. Tense. well-plotted. well-researched in every detail. A police procedural. A crime ‘story’. Each title showcases Jane’s brilliant, tenacious, relentless detective work as she tries to break down the barriers of rampant sexism, jealousy and deviousness of her fellow officers. And solves the case.
Each title is brilliant.
In Taste of Blood, Jane transfers to a new station and is involved in a serious and long-standing altercation between neighbors over a disputed boundary. Is it a trivial case to be brushed aside or something more serious?
