The children loved this during our Zoom storytime. Especially the helping me find pairs. ( )

Summary: This book is about a sock who is looking for it’s match. The pictures show several different other socks that almost match but don’t. In the end, the sock find it’s match.
Opinion: It’s kinda boring. I realized this book was meant to teach matching, which somehow has to do with math. This kids I read it to were pretty excited to find the match so I suppose that’s all that matters. ( )

This was another book that my group read to match it with the correct math criteria. This book is great for younger children. It starts of with a red and a blue sock who are missing their match. The story takes readers matching different colored socks in order to find the other blue and red ones. ( )

This book is about a sock missing it's pair and it must find the matching one. Each pair of socks has something different on it. I think this book would be great for pre kindergarten because it will help it is teaching them matching and spotting the differences and similarities between the socks. ( )

Summary: In this book it starts out with a red and blue sock. It goes through all kinds of different socks trying to find its match. Each one has something a little different about the sock. Finally, I puppy put him in a basket and he found his match. However, his heel had been torn. The sock gets fixed by a patch. At the end of the book it says can you find the matches to each sock.

Personal Reaction: I think this is a great book. It is simple and to the point. I love how it lets children learn at the end. It would give information to a kindergartner.

Classroom extension: This would be a great book to keep on the shelf. It lets children read and learn at the same time. I think it is good for children to be able to be active as they are reading.
