This book is filled with excellent exercises and information. I highly recommend it for new Tarot readers as well as experienced Tarot readers who want to connect with a new deck or learn more about reading for themselves.

Tarot for Your Self
A Workbook for Personal Transformation
by Mary K. Greer

This great 299 page divination workbook was a blast to review. This nice thing about this one is the content and layout, it seems to have it all in just the right places where I could find it. I was able to learn how to make my own spread, and even how to have my own interpretation of the cards just for me. My favorite was the section on breaking through obstacles, because it made so much sense.

What made it so awesome was the author was giving me permission to really see the cards and how they interacted in so many different ways, many I had never thought of. So much enlightened info on just about everything from crystals to summary sheets. The graphs are excellent, the illustrations sublime and I would recommend this exceptional guide to anyone interested in the tarot as a teaching or personal tool at any stage of their journey. Thanks Mary, for makings the tarot come alive for me.

Love & Light,

This is my favorite book on learning how to read Tarot. There aren't a whole lot of changes between this edition and the first. It's a great system, with exercises and excellent card interpretations. ( )

This book comes by highly recommended for those who want to learn the tarot. It's not a guide book about identifying each card and giving the meaning and description. Rather this is a more thought-provoking intuitive method of learning the tarot and what tarot means to the reader. It personalizes the meanings of the cards for the reader which so important for using them as a self discovery tool. Building a stong dialogue between reader and deck is so important for a good reading. ( )

I LOVE this book. It is by far the best tarot book available, as far as I'm concerned. Although it's geared at learning how to read the cards for self-knowledge, it is a great way to learn for people who wish to read for others, as well. It's also fantastic for those, like myself, who've been reading for many years. There is always more to learn, somewhere deeper to go, and this book has loads of exercises which will lead you there.

If you're interested in learning the Tarot, get this book. This and a deck of cards are all you really need. ( )
