This is a good mystery story.

The story begins with Lisa Calhoun asking Jennie if she's going to work on the case. Jennie was being homeschooled, and the lab of the private school she was attending part time had been robbed, but she wanted to get a head start on the chemistry project. Since drugs were involved, Rocky (Dean Rockwell) had warned her away because of the hazardous situation. Hannah, the 4-year-old Jennie had helped when she was kidnapped, had sent Jennie a locket so that she'd remember her. Jennie missed her since she was now living with her grandparents in Arizona. Lisa didn't think the chemistry teacher, Mr. Mancini, liked her, or anyone who had anything lower than a perfect grade point average. Lisa & Jennie decided to meet at Allison & B.J.'s as long as Jennie didn't have to watch her brother, Nick. Jennie's mom agreed that she could go, as long as she was back to have Dinner with Michael. Jennie got her swimming things & got ready to leave. But Nick had a question about their real father, & Jennie agreed to go over the pictures of their dad that night when she got home. Nick hugged her good-bye. Their dad worked for the DEA & according the the agency, he had died, but Jennie knew that was not the case. Her parents were officially divorced & her mom wanted to marry Michael. When Jennie got to the school to see Mr. Mancini, she was sent to the chemistry department, where she didn't see anyone around. She felt kind of nervous about meeting Mr. Mancini. She thought she heard something in the office, but didn't see anyone there or outside in the parking lot near the door to the office. It almost seemed like someone had run outside when they heard her come in, and she was just on time for her meeting. Perhaps the person she heard was the janitor. Since Mr. Mancini's car was in the parking lot, she decided to look around some more. When she went back to the school office & told Mrs. Talbot that she couldn't find Mr. Mancini, Mrs. Talbot called the church office to see if he were there. When he wasn't there she decided there might be a problem because he had a heart condition. When Michael came over he located Mr Mancini, but he was already dead! ( )
