NCLA Review -In book three Max and Jessie, along with their friend Cooper, find themselves looking for Enrique and his sisters. Their father has died and they are afraid they will be deported. The threesome wants to help Enrique but they must find him first. A series of well-planned robberies have started taking place in town. The police believe Enrique is behind them. The gang doesn't believe them. When he comes looking for food Enrique is arrested by the police but where are his sisters? Enrique gives the gang a clue without telling them anything. The only place they could be is Ghost Island—a place off limits to everyone. They decide to go anyway, only to find themselves in the hands of the real crooks, a cougar, and a fight for their lives. Another enjoyable read. Rating: 3 —NP (
