Photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand attempts to capture the irresistible appeal of dogs in all their shapes and sizes, in portraits with and without their owners. Depicting more than 250 breeds from around the world, with concise descriptions of each, the book also serves as an identification guide. The breeds are classified into the ten groups recognised by the International Dog Federation. Chapters include working dogs such as the Old English Sheepdog, the Saint Bernard; the Border Collie and the dreadlocked Hungarian Puli, as well as 30 terrier breeds, sporting dogs such as pointers, setters, retrievers and spaniels, and companion dogs from Pekingese to Pug.
