Frank Daelemans

This book is about a master breeder and the proof is given by showing a large portion of the fanciers that have established their lofts and reputations after adding Meulmans to their breeding lofts. The list is expansive and his birds were getting so successful in other fanciers lofts that he started falling victim to thieves. He lost some good birds but they couldn't steal his talent. He went back to work and probably became the best overall working breeder in the sport. The text doesn't really cover much of his techniques but it is a great historical reference on his affect on the quality of birds now being used for competitive flying in Belgium and associated countries.… (mer)
