A very good synopsis and story of the early part of the Bentley motor companies life.

This is also a biography of the famous “Bentley boys“ who won five Grand Prix in a row whilst in France. They were very impressive. They were larger than life characters who were very driven, enthusiastic, and resilient. The tragedy of the story is really the lack of recognition that was given to WO Bentley.

Worthwhile reading if you have an interest in old cars, Bentleys, or British derring-do.

Actually interesting and quite stressful. That anaesthetist is one loose cannon.

Finally finished. Good, really excellent, but cancelled.

Amazon Synopsis
Dan Carter, his wife Sara and their two children are at Heathrow, about to get on a plane that will take them on their first vacation as a family when he discovers his passport's missing. Exasperated, Sara says she and the children will go on their own. You can't, he says. Just watch me, she replies. Hours later, Dan watches the newsflash about the plane going down over the Atlantic, and his life is shattered. But after the first explosion of grief, the questions start to haunt him. Was it an accident his passport got mislaid? Did Sara make sure he wasn't on the plane? Was he the intended target of a terrorist attack that lead back to his time as a sniper in Afghanistan? And how does that tie in with his wife's secret life that he gradually starts to uncover? Searching for answers will set him on a deadly trail of revenge that will not end until he has found the truth and meted out justice the only way only he knows how.

My Thoughts
A conspiracy thriller that is full of twists and turns. The storyline had me guessing until the very end. A brilliant debut novel that has me wanting to read more by this author.
