Although small, this book has some great information, especially about the different types and weaves of kimono and obi silk, and has a good number of photos. I also like the information on when and where to wear kimono and on the different weaves, which makes me want to give it a 5. However, as far as kitsuke directions go, the pictures are small and hard to see, with many of them being in black and white. They don't discuss the obi aids used with their directions, but there are directions for Chidori musubi, a fairly rare Nagoya obi musubi. As far as English language books go, it's a must have for kimono and kitsuke fans.… (mer)
